Aston Villa boss Unai Emery insisted his side deserved the win but had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth in stoppage time sports.

“We played very well against a very difficult team. We had our ideas. We created chances in the first half. We didn’t score because the ball went out first.” UFABET

“We improved even in the second half and for 35 minutes we played brilliantly. We created chances, we stopped chances and we scored. But we knew we had to be ready for anything because they are a team. That always goes when they have the ball.”

“In the last moments we couldn’t control the game. In the last 10 minutes we didn’t control it. Of course we deserved to win but we have to accept it (the draw). It hurts but we have to accept it.”

“We have a lot to ask and we want to be at the top of the league. But we have to accept that to move forward. We started the season very well, both in the league and in the Champions League. And of course we are disappointed because we wanted to win.”

On the disallowed Aston Villa goal: “Of course the VAR is clear. If the VAR tells us it’s not a goal, it’s clear. For me, the referee did a great job today. It’s not a goal because it’s gone through the VAR.”
